From Himalayan villages to Texas doorsteps
Every order that leaves our Dallas facility began its journey in the hills and high meadows of Nepal: slow, seasonal, and unhurried.
Where We Started
Thousands of miles from Dallas, and yet close to home
Great Himalayan Suppliers LLC is based in Dallas, Texas, but our story begins thousands of miles away, in the dairy villages of Ilam, the tea gardens of eastern Nepal, and the high-altitude meadows where foragers still collect rare botanicals the way their families always have.
We started with a simple observation: authentic Himalayan products are hard to find in the USA, and when they are available, they’re often relabeled, diluted, or disconnected from the people who actually made them. We wanted to fix that by building direct relationships with the producers themselves, starting with our signature Himalayan White Drop Dog Chew, a naturally healthy, lactose-free treat handcrafted from a traditional yak-milk recipe.
How We Got Here
From a family recipe to a full catalog
The Origin
A dog chew recipe, generations old
Our founder grew up watching dairy families in the Ilam hills transform yak and cow milk into a hard, cheese-based chew for their own dogs. It was never sold commercially. It was simply how a family cared for their animals.
Building Trust
Finding producers we could stand behind
Before shipping a single order, we spent time in Ilam and the surrounding hills, meeting dairy families, tea growers, and foragers in person, learning their methods, and agreeing on quality standards we could guarantee to customers.
Going Further
Wild honey, shilajit, and yarsagumba
As trust grew, so did our catalog. We added wild-foraged honey from Himalayan forests, mineral-rich shilajit collected from high-altitude rock, and rare yarsagumba hand-gathered above 3,000 meters.
Today
A Dallas facility, a Nepal supply chain
Every order is received, quality-checked, and shipped from our Texas facility, but it never forgets where it came from. Each product still carries the name of the region and, often, the family that made it.
Since then, we've expanded to bring home high-altitude green tea, wild-foraged honey, and rare traditional wellness goods like shilajit and yarsagumba, each one sourced from a real producer we know by name, quality-checked, and shipped from our Texas facility to homes across America.
We are a small team, and we intend to stay one. Growth, for us, means adding more honest producers to the list, not cutting corners on the ones we already trust.
